There’s so much more to breaking free than just a change in residence or ‘partner(s).’ There’s also no set rules or timeline for how each survivor experiences their journey. Often there are spurts of what feels like forward movement followed by backsliding into the pit of dispair. Sometimes you get to grab the brass ring and you feel like a winner.
It’s all a matter of perspective.
